Our Mission

Orthos Physical Therapy is dedicated to the comprehensive delivery of superior quality care utilizing a multi-faceted approach for lasting results.  Our goal is to return our patients to the highest level of function through promoting healing, increasing range of motion and strength, decreasing pain, and educating patients in injury recovery and prevention.

Mary W. (Janie) Broadwell, PT

Orthos Physical Therapy Inc. was established in March 1991 by Janie Broadwell.  She is a 1979 graduate of East Carolina University and received her NC license that same year.  In addition to over 30 years experience in acute care and orthopedic rehabilitation and pain management, she has continued her education in myofascial release, back pain, orthopedics, ergonomics and TMJ disorders.  She is also listed as a fibromyalgia network provider.   Janie is also a member of the APTA and the NCPTA. Jennifer Williams, PT, DPT

Jennifer received her Master’s of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2004 from Elon University.  She has been licensed in the state of North Carolina since 2000.  Jennifer has experience in performing functional capacity evaluations, in orthopedic, acute care, pediatric, and skilled nursing facility settings.  Jennifer is also a member of the APTA and the NCPTA.  Since joining the Orthos PT staff in June of 2000, she has attended several continuing education courses including the following:

  • Evaulation, Treatment and Prevention of Spinal Disorders
  • Recent Advances in the Evaluation & Treatment of the Shoulder and Knee
